The new (but already old) semester..

I KNOW i havent blogged since LAST YEar! I know, its very sad.
Since i have been back in the good ol' sticks of Rexburg, a lot has happened, id say. I moved into a new spendy awesome place!! And i just love Love LOVE it. It feels so homey and everything is new. I love it. Its a great feeling to know that you are the first person to lick the corner of the wall or to sleep on that new never been opened full mattress, or the first to take a bath (ok that was amber), or been the first to fall down the new stairs and hurt their fifth metatarsal!! No one... unlesssss someone else in another apt has thought of it... and has licked the corner of their wall.
So to decorate my crib I put up all that needs to describe me. You can know what side of the room is mine because Bison's, Thomas Kinkades, and cows roam free. When people come into my room I often hear them say in a snobbish kind of way, "wow... do you like buffalos and cows or something?" ....(kayla face)... NO I just have all this stuff cuz i hate them. Girl pleeease. I also get "So are your favorite colors like pink and black or something?".. Actually, I like red. but pink goes the best with black cow spots. and plus.. it looks wicked sweet together. What i want to say to some people is "oh nice, your comforter is light purple and your walls are egg shell white.. do you like purple and eggs?" I mean what does that say about that person?.. That im cooler?.. totally.
This is my side of the room..

My huge closet! And this is ambers side.

The middle shelfs that holds our little TV where we watch our favorite Disney movies!
ANNNNDD the only man that is allowed in our room. I call him.. Booth.

And this is how me and Amber talk to each other when we are in our beds. And when we are in the bathroom doing our hair and makeup.. we also use the mirror to talk and look at each other. We all know we do it. Its funner (yes its a word) than just talking face to face.

Classes.. aweful. I think i'll take 4 more years to graduate.. Just kidding dad.
Anatomy and Physiology... Kickin' my BUTT.... Excuse my french mother. Could it be anymore torturous? I think not. I do have to say that i have the whole skull memorized and the hand/wrist.. And let me tell ya... there is a lot of nonsense going on inside your head! I do like anatomy but i hate that i will never be able to look at another bone and say, "thats a leg bone" or "my head hurts".. why?..because now its not my head hurts, now its the zygomatic process of the temporal bone that hurts.....
Cells are another story. I cant just look at myself and see me anymore..I see all those videos that my teacher made us watch about little moving things inside you that look like little people and creatures! (PLEASE refer to the little who in whoville carrying the big blue ball and creepily walking on a tight rope at 2 min) I think about the little cells inside me that are called Keratinized Stratified Squamous Epithelium.. I mean, what does that even mean!?!

(for the video if it is too big you might need to click on the title to make it bigger so you can watch it.. i dont know how to make it smaller because claire wont answer her phone.)

This is a video we watched (the one with the who and the blue ball) and my teacher was right.. this video makes ya want to learn more and explore the inside of cells. While i was watching it i thought i had a vision that i would be the next big scientist and i thought it was the coolest thing ever! The inner life of a cell! AWESOME! ... until the video stopped and my teacher began talking then my reality check bounced. I think i'll stick to Kiwanis Camp, walking Rudy, being with my family, quoting movies, hating obama and doing activities that cause asthma attacks.

As for my awesome fun class. I am taking Adaptive PE for special populations.. can I just say.. ITS THE BEST CLASS EVER!! We get to play games and some of the clients from Journeys and Upper Valley Connections (day program for people with disabilities) come and play with us. and there is a hottie body who works there that comes and plays with us.. and ive tried something new with him, its called flirting. Its fun. I like him. and.. No wonder Aunt Leann love doing APE, its so FUN!

Some other things that have been going on are..

it has already been -21 degrees...
It was very cold but once it hits the negatives you really cant tell a difference. When it got up to 32 degrees i was wearing a short sleeve shirt with just a fleece. It was way warmer than -21! I cant wait for summer!!!

I saw this guy while walking to class... I first saw him from far away because it looked like a floating cone walking through the trees.. Sneaky..

I watched 4 puppies be born...

These yellow labs are so "ugly but cute" as my bishop says. (They are his). These pics were taken when they were a couple of hours old. The one to the left is when she is almost a week old. They cant see or hear anything yet but SOON!! We love traveling to Rigby and watching, playing, and snuggling with them. All 12 of them!
One litter was 4 yellows and the other was 8 chocolate. We cant wait until they can run around and play with us! If you wanna see more pics go to http://www.labsofcottonhollow.com
You will see 5 yellow pups but sadly the green guy died the night after he was born. :(

saw baby lamb be born and helped bottle feed another...

I call him Baby Lamb 17. He is so sweet. He loves people and when you come into the pen he comes right up to you and starts talking. (Usually all sheep and lambs run away while screaming at the same time.) We have to bottle feed him because his mother can produce enough milk to feed him and his other 2 siblings. Although he reaks of sheep I still love to snuggle him and help him get warm (he doesn't have as much fluff on him as the others because he was malnourished). I take pity on my little Baby Lamb 17.
Oh I call him that because he has a 17 spray painted on his back so we can tell which lambs belong to which mamma's.

Sylvia is the one that i have to thank for letting me tag along to help feed, tag, and play with the lambs. She had to grab this baby so we could tag it and put iodine on the umbilical cord so it wouldn't get infected.

...and i have already biffed it 3 times...
Twice on the ice and one time because my knees gave out on my going down the stairs..
#1. The first biff was when i was walking to class and BLACK ICE just so happen to be present and i was carrying my 50lb anatomy book and i did a giant lunge and slid 3 feet down the sidewalk. After i yelled "OWWW" Some little skinny girl helped me up and then told me that i was very graceful and that my slide was awesome.
#2. The second time happened to be when BLACK ICE was also present.. me and amber were walking up the sidewalk and as she slipped i went to grab her to help her and down i went. When amber looked back i was laying "flat" on my back..with my backpack on.. and still holding my 50lb anatomy book.
#3. There was no black ice involved.. Just steps and a million people around. We were walking to get a seat at devotional and as i was walking down the steps my knees gave out and i slowly crumbled to the floor catching myself an inch from the ground.. literally. As i stood up and looked to see who saw my crumble a big guy behind me was staring at me with one eyebrow up.. When i saw him i pointed in his face and said "you didnt see anything. right." and he put his hand up like i had a gun and said "ya i didnt see anything." then he walked to his seat a couple of rows down from us.

I also had to patch up Temperance.. But we wont mention anymore of that. Many tears, sweat and blood went into that. I can testify that Duct Tape is a gift to all on earth. She is all better.

This semester has had its good and its bad.. obviously. And i do have to thank my newest friend whom i call Celex. You can say we are joined at the hip all the time. I never go anywhere without her. This is a shout out for her.. Thanks for helping me become a better friend, family member, future wife and mother.

Peace and Blessings until we meet again.
